Whole Abdomen

LIVER:

Liver is seen normal in size measuring 12 cm in longitudinal dimension. The outer contour is

smooth showing homogenous parenchymal echogenicity with regular margins. No focal

solid or cystic mass is seen. Intrahepatic biliary ducts are not dilated. Portal vein measures

0.2 cms. No portal vein thrombosis is seen.

GALL BLADDER:

Normally distended gall bladder seen with no thickening of walls. However solitary calculus

measuring 2.2 cms is seen. There is suggestion of a mass ?? sludge ball 1.0 x 2.2 cms is seen

in the lumen. No pericholecystic fluid is seen. CBD has normal calibre measures 0.4 cms.

PANCREAS:

It’s normal in shape and size with normal homogenous echotexture . No focal mass, cyst or

calcification seen. The pancreatic duct is not dilated.

SPLEEN:

Spleen appears normal in size, measures 11.0 cms. The outer surface is smooth

with homogenous echotexture. No focal mass is seen. No hilar varices are seen.

KIDNEYS:

Both kidneys are normal in size, shape and position. Outline is smooth and well demarcated.

Normal parenchymal texture seen with intact cortico medullary distinction. Renal cortex has

normal width throughout the entire length of both kidneys. No calculi or hydronephrosis is

seen in either kidney. Upper parts of both ureter not seen dilated.

Right kidney measures 13.3 x 6.2 cms, Cortical thickness 1.4 cms.

Left kidney measures 11.2 x 4.6 cms, Cortical thickness 1.4 cms. Simple cyst measuring

2.0 cms seen in the left kidney.

No free fluid is seen in the abdomen.

No enlarged lymph nodes are visible.

CONCLUSION:

• Cholelithiasis with sludge ball ? mass 1.0 x 2.2 cms

• MRCP may be advised.

• Left renal cyst.

• Clinical correlation advised.
