Whole Abdomen

LIVER:

Liver is seen normal in size measuring 12 cm in longitudinal dimension. The outer contour is smooth showing

homogenous parenchymal echogenicity with regular margins. No focal solid or cystic mass is seen.

Intrahepatic biliary ducts are not dilated. Portal vein measures 0.2 cms. No portal vein thrombosis is seen.

GALL BLADDER:

Not seen due to previous surgery. CBD has normal calibre measures 0.5 cms.

PANCREAS:

It’s normal in shape and size with normal homogenous echotexture . No focal mass, cyst or calcification seen.

The pancreatic duct is not dilated.

SPLEEN:

Spleen appears normal in size , measures 9.8 cms. The outer surface is smooth with homogenous echotexture.

No focal mass is seen. No hilar varices are seen.

KIDNEYS:

Both kidneys are normal in size, shape and position. Outline is smooth and well demarcated. Normal

parenchymal texture seen with intact cortico medullary distinction. Renal cortex has normal width

throughout the entire length of both kidneys. No calculi or hydronephrosis is seen in either kidney. Upper parts

of both ureter not seen dilated.

Right kidney measures 8.1 x 4.7 cms, Cortical thickness 1.7 cms.

Left kidney measures 8.7 x 4.6 cms, Cortical thickness 1.8 cms.

Renal cysts of variable sizes seen in the left kidney, the largest one measuring 3.9 x 3.3 cms

No free fluid is seen in the abdomen.

No enlarged lymph nodes are visible.

URINARY BLADDER: It is well distended it shows normal wall thickness. No calculus mass or sludge is seen.

CONCLUSION:

No abnormality detected in Liver , Pancreas, Spleen and right kidney.

Left renal cysts.

Status post cholecystectomy.
