Whole Abdomen

LIMITED STUDY DUE TO GASEOUS ABDOMEN

LIVER:

Liver is normal in size measures 16 cm with raised echogenicity, altered echotexture and regular

borders. A round hyperechoic lesion measuring 1.5 cm x 1.2 cm is noted in Segment 4b showing mild

vascularity…. most likely hemangioma.. Intrahepatic biliary ducts are not dilated. Portal vein measures

1.0 cms.

GALL BLADDER:

Normally distended gall bladder seen with no thickening of walls. No calculi, mass or sludge is seen in the

lumen. No pericholecystic fluid is seen. CBD has normal calibre measures cms.

PANCREAS:

Partially visualized due to excessive gases….. the visualized part appears unremarkable.

SPLEEN:

Spleen appears normal in size , measures 10 cms. The outer surface is smooth with homogenous

echotexture. No focal mass is seen.

KIDNEYS:

Both kidneys are normal in size, shape and position. Outline is smooth and well demarcated. Mildly

raised echogenicity is observed , with intact cortico medullary distinction.

Right kidney measures 10.4 cm x 5.0 cm with parenchymal thickness 1.0 cm. No calulus, hydronephrosis or

proximal hydroureter observed

Left kidney measures 10.1 cm x 4.7 cm with parenchymal thickness 1.1. Two echogenic foci are noted at

the lower pole larger one measures 1.2 cm. No hydronephrosis or proximal hydroureter observed.

URINARY BLADDER:

It is well distended it shows normal wall thickness. No calculus mass or sludge is seen.

CONCLUSION:

Limited study suggests:

• Fatty liver with altered echotexture…… LFT advised

• Hyperechoic focus in segment 4b with mild vascularity …. most likely hemangioma

• Bilateral renal parenchymal changes grade -I … RFT advised

• Left renal calculi
