 Whole Abdomen

LIVER:

Liver is enlarged measures 18.4 cm with raised echogenicity, smooth echotexture and regular

borders.No focal solid or cystic mass is seen. Intrahepatic biliary ducts are not dilated. Portal vein measures

0.9 cms.

GALL BLADDER:

Multiple echogenic foci are noted in the gall baldder largest one measures 0.9 cm. Normal wall

thickenss is observed. No pericholecystic fluid noted at the time of scan. CBD normal caliber

PANCREAS:

It’s normal in shape and size with normal homogenous echotexture . No focal mass, cyst or calcification seen.

The pancreatic duct is not dilated.

SPLEEN:

Spleen appears normal in size , measures 9.3 cms. The outer surface is smooth with homogenous

echotexture. No focal mass is seen. No hilar varices are seen.

KIDNEYS:

Both kidneys are normal in size, shape and position. Outline is smooth and well demarcated. Normal

parenchymal texture seen with intact cortico medullary distinction. . No calculi or hydronephrosis is seen in either

kidney. Upper parts of both ureter not seen dilated.

Right kidney measures 11.5 cm x 4.5 cm with cortical thcikness 0.9 cm

Left kidney measures 10.8 cmx 5.0 cm with cortical thcikness 0.9 cm

URINARY BLADDER:

It is well distended it shows normal wall thickness. No calculus mass or sludge is seen.

INCIDENDAT FINDING:

Right ovary is enlarged measures 6.8 cm x 5.1 cm with a well defined cyst measuring 4.5 cm x

4.5 cm . Thin internal septae noted. … Left ovary appears normal.

CONCLUSION:

• Hepatomegaly with grade- II fatty changes

• Cholelithiasis……. no sonographic evidence of cholecystitis is noted at the time of scan…..

however in symptomatic patients, clinical and lab correlation is advised

• Incidendal finding…. Right ovarian cyst… followup advised
