K.U.B & Prostate
KIDNEYS:Both kidneys are normal in size,
shape and position.
Right kidney measures 10.1 cm x 4.9 cm with cortical thickness 0.8
cm. . A well defined anechoic
cyst is noted at the upper pole measures
2.2 cm x 2.2 cm. No internal echoes or septae noted.
No calculus, hydronephrosis or proximal
hydroureter noted.
Left kidney measures 9.6 cm x 4.2 cm with cortical thickness
0.8 cm. Few concretions are noted
with a prominent echogenic focus measuring
0.54 cm at lower pole. Fullness is noted which
persists post void. No proximal hydroureter
seen
URINARY BLADDER:Well distended urinary
bladder. wall thickness is within normal limits. Few
internal echoes are noted….could be
infection.
Pre void volume...... 359 ml
Post void residue........ 70 ml
PROSTATE:The size and shape is normal. The
outer surface is smooth. The texture is normal with
no focal mass or calcification.
It measures
3.7 cm x 3.7 cm 3.1 cm . It weighs approx. 23 grams
(Normal upper limit in younger age group is
20 grams and in older age group is upto 35
grams. However in
symptomatic patients, clinical and lab
correlation is advised)
CONCLUSION:
• Right renal simple cyst
• Left renal calculus with concretions and
fullness
• Significant post void volume
• Cystitis +/-….urine D/R advised
• Normal scan of prostate gland
